Lineage

Aiki has been taught as a secret, warrior's art, since at least the twelfth century in Japan. It has been preserved and developed by the Aizu Han since the sixteenth century and it is this region that Aiki Ten Shin Sho sees as it spiritual home.

The lineage presented here is a necessarily simplified one. To illustrate all the historical influences, both direct and indirect, upon the School would be a vast undertaking and beyond the scope of this website.
